Privacy Policy — Teleprompter

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Teleprompter app (the “app”) accesses or processes, and why. The app does not run its own servers and does not require an account. Any data processing described below happens either entirely on your device, or through the specific third‑party services listed here.

Data processed on your device only

These never leave your device and are not accessible to us.

• Camera & microphone: used only in “front camera + prompter” mode to record video. The recording is written to a temporary file and, if you choose to save it, to your device's own photo/video gallery. Not used in prompter‑only mode.
• Script text and settings: scripts you write and app preferences (speed, font, theme, language, etc.) are stored in local on‑device storage only.

Purchases (RevenueCat)

Pro is a one‑time purchase handled by Google Play (or the App Store on iOS) and, on our side, by RevenueCat — the only third‑party SDK integrated in this app. RevenueCat is used solely to validate purchases and manage your Pro entitlement; it is not used for advertising. The app does not send RevenueCat your name or email. As part of its normal operation, RevenueCat automatically receives:

• An anonymous, auto‑generated app user ID (we do not attach your name, email, or any other identity to it);
• Purchase/transaction data needed to confirm your Pro status;
• Device identifiers and IP address, used for fraud prevention as part of RevenueCat's standard SDK behavior.

Google Play platform data

Because the app is distributed through Google Play, Google automatically collects certain platform‑level technical data — such as crash/ANR diagnostics and install/uninstall statistics — as part of standard app distribution on Android. This collection is performed by Google as the store operator, not by us, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not integrate any advertising SDK. We do not integrate any behavioral or marketing analytics SDK (e.g. no Firebase Analytics, no Mixpanel). We do not sell your data. RevenueCat, described above, is the only third‑party SDK in the app.

Data retention

Recordings, scripts, and settings stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app — we have no copy of them. Data held by RevenueCat is retained per its own policy (linked above); to request deletion of your RevenueCat‑held data, contact us using the details below.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
